Wow... apparently Amazon.com has been down for most of the day. Also the british Amazon site wasn't fully working when I visited it this evening.
Rare to see a giant power down for that long without any explanation.

Since I'm in the phone business I just wanted to show you this found via mobilechrunch: The top ten most beautiful mobile phones.
The choices can be argued but there are indeed some interesting phones on the list.
I'm kind of a sucker for the Helio Kickflip (seen here). But check them out for yourself!
It is no news that Apple's iPod is a giant success. The mp3 player is nearly eight times ahead of its nearest competitor in the US consumer market.
It seems unbeatable in every way.
All the same Microsoft takes a stab at the mp3 player market sometime this fall when the Golliath launches the Zune music player. This week leaked blurry pictures of the device (much to my disapointment) show that it sort of looks like an iPod!!
Zune is reported to have an FM radio function, play videos, and have a wireless broadcast function. There is also some talk of compatibility with the Xbox 360.
Also, record company EMI has signed a deal with Microsoft to pre-load a few music videos onto the player.
Is that it? And is that enough to seriously beat the Pod?
Apple itself plans to release an updated iPod before Christmas.
Which player do you want under your tree?
