I've been discussing corporate blogs galore with Robert Basic over on his blog: Basic Thinking. Basically I think we ended up agreeing that large corporations will always have a problem creating interesting blogs beyond mere marketing.
Hope I'm not jumping to conclusions here Robert ;-)

as i can tell you regarding the german markets: no big company will start to blog. But times can change things. If everybody has lets say - looking ten years back upon now - email so the rest of evereybody needs email too.
But, there are already some fortune 500 - like IBM, Microsoft or SUN - with excellent employee blogs. I still have hope :-))
